We’re very excited to announce that our vintage best friends, Overdress Vintage, have collaborated with Topshop launching their very own pop up store in Topshop Liverpool One! Kickstarting today the Overdress promise a collection of luxury vintage, which is both elegant and sassy at the same time!
Overdress is completely different from any of the vintage you’ll come across on the ground floor of Topshop Oxford Street. There’s none of the usual faded denim Mom jeans, old Adidas tees, and whacky Grandad shirts (which we still really love). You’ll find more high-end vintage, the type of clothing you’d wear to chic events and keep forever, as many of their pieces are timeless!
To give you a taster of what you’re going to come across if you visit the Topshop pop up/ their website, we’ve mustered up a look made up of our most recent Overdress Vintage pieces. This is how we do our laundry YGSF style, channeling Elle Woods in head to toe vintage!
The Pucci style shirt is like 70’s dress up, but not the kind you’d rent from your local fancy dress shop for £10. It’s great quality and way more stylish! We then have the preppy tennis skirt in a candy pink. This is a big throwback to my 13 year old self when I actually owned a tennis skirt and could actually play tennis! The hot pink platforms aren’t Overdress, they’re Topshop so that’s still pretty relevant considering their collab. These bad boys are the new love of my life (I apologise to the Raw Press Acai Bowl that I promised to marry last weekend), and they add to the whole 70’s thing i’ve got going on!
I’m a big fan of this look, it’s super fun and made me feel very playful, like some kind of unicorn Barbie! I can also guarantee that I won’t have a unicorn Barbie twin as all Overdress pieces are completely one off!
